It was déjà vu for Chicago's Andrew Nadler, winning the 27K Vasa for the second time in three years. After skiing much of the race with Milan Baic and Brad White, he broke away and dropped his companions to take the victory, finishing in 1:20:35. Vasa Ski Club's Baic was able beat White at the line by a second, 1:21:01 to 1:21:02.
Last year's 50k women's winner, Amy Powell, was the top women, winning in 1:35:09. Traverse City's Erica O'Hearn was second., with Kelley Peterson third in 1:40:46 and 1:48:04.
Both Powell and Baic are heading to Italy later this week to racing in the World Master Championship.
