Lakes of the North Winterstart tentatively a go

Lakes of the North Winterstart Sat Dec 22nd 11:00 am mass start freestyle (course still to be determined but estimate is 8km) The weather forecast is looking better by the day. We are now under a winter storm watch for Thur morning through Friday. We will make the call as soon as possible but may have to wait till Friday am. With as little as 4 inches of snow we can have the race. Here is a photo last week of Lakes of the North grooming with only 4 inches:
If we get 4 inches then plan on using rock skis as we will cross a number of cart paths. If we get a huge dump then use any skis you have. Attached is an entry form which you can prepare ahead of time for faster processing day of the race. We have tried to make this a low cost event for $15/10 adult/junior which includes a free buffet. Non-racers can purchase the buffet for $10.
The staff of the Lakes of the North are welcoming us with open arms and want to make this work. They really supported the FLASH races we had last year and that is why they are hosting the Michigan Cup event this year. If it snows please support this first time event. We need venues that can put on races with low snow amounts.
