QUEBEC CITY, PQ (Dec. 6) – The newly launched USSA Network will bring live coverage of this weekend’s FIS Cross Country World Cup in Quebec City to American fans. World Cup sprint champion Kikkan Randall heads a strong U.S. Ski Team in Quebec City for a team sprint Friday and individual event on Saturday. Live coverage begins at 2:00 p.m. EST Friday and 1:15 p.m. Saturday on the USSA Network available at www.usskiteam.com.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The USSA Network will carry live coverage of the FIS Cross Country World Cup from Quebec City Dec. 7-8.
- Live coverage of the sprint heats will air at www.usskiteam.com beginning at 2:00 p.m. EST Friday for the two-person team sprint and 1:15 p.m. Saturday for individual race.
- Defending World Cup sprint champion Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) will lead a strong U.S. Ski Team contingent along with Andy Newell (Shaftsbury, VT) and Simi Hamilton (Aspen, CO).
- A dozen U.S. athletes will be on the start line for qualifiers in Quebec City.
- Over 50,000 spectators are expected to pack the snow covered streets of the historic city for the unique city sprints.
