40 Skiers Attend Houghton Clinic

The CXC Team was not the only ones getting ready for winter in Houghton, MI last week. Over 40 skiers attended the Salomon Get Your Nordic On! Clinics held on the Michigan Tech Campus. Head Coach Bryan Fish and CXC Team athletes, Bryan Cook, Garrott Kuzzy, Brian Gregg, Laura Valaas and Caitlin Compton were able to give the large group individual attention. The CXC Team conducted separate clinics; one for junior skiers and another for masters.

 

Coach Fish led the clinic with a lecture and a series of dry land drills. The drills were a progression to help a skier find a more efficient technique. CXC Team athletes simultaneously provided individual attention to clinic participants with specific technique pointers. The group then clipped in to roller skis and worked in small groups with CXC Team athletes.
