UPDATE FEB 1, 2024: RACE UPDATE! Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, concern for the safety of the competitors, the quality of the course, and the long-term viability of the North American Vasa, it is with great regret that we must cancel all races of the 48th Annual North American Vasa.

The North American Vasa has adopted, as stated in registration, a no refund policy. This policy is to protect the non-profit organization's sustainability. However, due to the understandable disappointment of a canceled race, we are extending a short window of refunds by request. To request a refund, log into runsignup.com/vasa or use the refund button below by February 18th. All other registrations will be considered a donation. We appreciate your continued support and thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We look forward to the North American Vasa return in 2025. LET IT SNOW!

NEW! 27K Cambium Analytica Classic Race - Back by popular demand with a new sponsor, ski the 27K course in a counter clockwise direction, including Jack Pine, the Nipple, Headwaters, and Wall Bypass - the best that the Vasa Pathway has to offer!

15K Lombard Loppet Classic - Go back to the roots of the sport! Get out your skins or wax-up for this approximately 15 kilometer counter clockwise course on the traditional Grand Traverse Course. This is a Michigan Cup full points race.

6K High School Classic (ages 19 and under only)- Join the young enthusiasts for a fun and fast race! They are the future of the sport. This is a Michigan Cup Junior Race. Skiers over age 19 may participate, but they are not eligible for awards.

6K Vasa Tour - Get in on the fun! Classic and freestyle waves in this approximately 6 kilometer course open to all abilities! The tour is not timed or awarded.

Combo Races

Michigan Cup Challenge - The George Kuhn 27K Freestyle Ski Race (Saturday) + the Lombard Loppet 15K Classic (Sunday) combine to make up the Michigan Cup Challenge. This race awards the best all-round XC skiers! PRIZE MONEY – the top three male and female Michigan Cup Challenge winners get a wad of real money! Prizes include $500 for 1st , $250 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd, male and female. You don’t need to be on a Michigan Cup team to be eligible. The male and female winners will be crowned

King and Queen Vasa! Michigan Cup Challenge entrants will receive an automatic $20 registration discount. Note: You must register for the combo events at the same time (Run SignUp payment step) in order to receive the discount.

Collegiate Challenge - The Okerstorm 15K freestyle race on Saturday + the 15K Lombard Loppet Classic on Sunday is for college teams and individual collegiates. Contact [email protected] to receive the code for a $20 discount for registering in both events.

Online Registration opens October 15th, 2023, and closes Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at 6 PM.

Registration will NOT be available after Wednesday, February 7th, 6:00 PM. No onsite registration!
