By popular demand, we will continue with our “Freestyle Saturday” and “Classic Sunday” format. The fat bike races and Junior Vasa will also continue on Saturday. Returning is the Collegiate Challenge, the Michigan Cup Challenge, and some additional challenges to test your fun quotient!
Ski Races Scheduled:
51km Okerstrom Ski Marathon
28km George Kuhn Half Ski Marathon
11km Korteloppet
Junior VASA
6km freestyle Ski Race (for kids 14-19 years of age)
6km Freestyle Fun Ski Tour
The freestyle ski race course will be groomed with a classic track, so classic skiers are welcome to participate in the freestyle races. However, they will be timed with the freestylers.
6km Freestyle Ski Race
The 6km Freestyle race on Saturday is designated for boys and girls, including high school racers. Please note: Skiers over age 19 may participate in the 6K race, but only the younger racers will be recognized with awards.
6km Freestyle Ski Fun Tour
Are you a newer skier who wants to partake in the fun but does not want to race?
Or are you an established skier or retired racer who would rather tour than beat themselves up on the race course?
Join us for this 6km FUN, untimed tour for all skiers on Saturday, February 9. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
Michigan Cup Scoring
Saturday's Okerstrom Marathon 51km freestyle race will count for full Michigan Cup points (starting at 200 points), and the 28km race will count for partial points (starting at 175 points). The Michigan Cup committee makes this scoring decision.
