Racers in teams of two each did three 1.5km laps for a total of 6 laps per team. There were male, female and mixed teams.

There's been no change to the order of teams in the Brumbaugh Cup after nine races: the Cross Country Ski Headquarters continues to leads with 819 points and Team NordicSkiRacer and Hanson Hills / Cross Country Ski Shop hold second and third.
As of last weekend, 539 racers have gained Michigan Cup points. A small set of those skiers lead the overall Michigan Cup.
Skiers started out on a massive climb, sorting out the pack early in the race. Emily Blackmen (Cross Country Ski Headquarters) and Kyle Hanson of Team NordicSkiRacer held off everyone to win.
The crowning of the champions in previous years was based on a racers three best freestyle events. The Michigan Cup Committee, after quite a bit of discussion, voted to make it winner-take-all in one event for 2020.
