MI Cup Sprints will donate to American Heart Association

Wed, Jan  30, 2008 - By Mike Muha

If the last few years have taught us anything, it's that heart disease can affect anyone, including athletes in the prime of their racing career.

To do it's part to prevent heart disease, the Michigan Cup Sprints will donate all profits to the American Heart Association. We're raising the entry fee to $15 and trying to decrease our costs so we can maximize the size of our donation.

You can help: You can attend the sprints! Racing starts at 10:00am; registration is between 8:30am and 9:30am. This is a Michigan Cup event so racers will receive Michigan Cup points.

Racing starts with a 1km time trial. The times for the time trial will be used to seed racers for heats of 6 skiers each. After that, we'll run the womens' heats through the finals then the mens' heats.

Hammer Nutrition is once again sponsoring the Sprints.
