Good Wax:
Base: Solda HC28 scraped and brushed. Then a layer of Solda S20; scrape while warm. Brush with stiff nylon brush when cool

Better Wax:
Base: Solda HC28 scraped and brushed.
Paraffin: Apply a layer of Solda F15 Green.

Best Wax:
Base: Solda HC28
scraped and brushed. Then a layer of S30 Cold Powder; scrape when warm. Let the ski cool then brush.
Paraffin: Solda F15 Green
Powder: Solda S20 Powder; scrape while ski is warm. Let it cool and then brush

Classic skiers will want a good cold snow binder. Then your favorite cold green kick wax. I would be trying the Rode Green Special. I would also iron in the first layer over the binder, then cork smooth. Apply successive layers.

Pick a ski with a fairly soft tip and a little splay with a longish contact zone. A fine grind would be good. You could add a very fine linear structure, one pass.
