What:

Join the crew from The Outfitter of Harbor Springs Wednesday nights for an evening of classic and skate skiing, camaraderie and après-ski.

There is no charge to participate, but all skiers must have a XC ticket or season pass. The evening begins with a tech tip in the Brown Bagger at 7:00 pm, then hit the trails at 7:15 and return at 8:00 for après-ski.

Nordic Nights

Nordic Nights are a great way to get out for a night ski, have fun meeting fellow skiers, and improve your skills! We’re building a Nordic community in northern MI that’s open, friendly and supportive–come be a part of it.

Classic and Skate Skiers Unite!

Bring your gear of choice on any given night and meet up with others to hit the trail. Nordic skiers of all abilities and all ages (9 years and older) are welcome!

Every Wednesday Night at Nub’s Nob

Come to any/all weeks that fit your schedule. No pre-registration required.

Meet in the Brown Bagger room (lower level). Look for the slope side door (under the deck) by the yellow chair for easy in-out. Leave your skis outside on the racks to cool so snow won’t stick to your bases.

Meet Up and Tech Tip in the Brown Bagger

We will briefly gather to do a show of hands for who is skiing classic and skate so that people can connect. Then a Tech Tip will be covered (very briefly!) by Josh and Molly Ames Baker from The Outfitter. Tech Tips are just a little something to think about while you’re on the trail, such as body positioning, poling, balance, etc., to improve your efficiency and enjoyment.

7:15PM
Hit the Trail

Group up and head out with others for a non-guided ski. Set your own pace and select your trail and desired distance (see maps of lower and upper loops). Recommended gear: headlamp and/or water bottle. Enjoy excellent conditions as all trails will be groomed day-of for Nordic Nights!

8:00-9:00PM
Apres-Ski

Come in from your trail ski anytime after 8:00PM for food n’ fun! Enjoy light appetizers and/or a drink. (Bring a drink down from the cash bar available in Nub’s Pub.) Complimentary appetizers are made possible thanks to local sponsors each week.

Ski Rentals

Skate ski rentals are available only at The Outfitter; Classic xc ski rentals are available at The Outfitter and at Nub’s Nob. Please plan ahead to get your rentals fitted and picked up before each weekly ski.

Fee

Nordic Nights are offered free of charge thanks to a collaboration between The Outfitter of Harbor Springs and Nub’s Nob.

A Nordic ski pass or season pass is required. Purchase a discounted Nordic ski pass ($10 only) by mentioning that you’re part of Nordic Nights at the ticket window.
