US Championship races rescheduled for March 2009
The two US Championships events that we were unable to run in Anchorage in January 2009 will be hosted by the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks as part of the US Long Distance Championships.

Newell Fifth in Rybinsk
Andy Newell (Shaftsbury, VT) found his form in Saturday's individual sprint, finishing fifth. It's the best result in the individual sprint for Newell so far this season. Italian Renato Pasini won.

Cold weather in Rybinsk, which lies 300K north of Moscow, forced cancelation of a men's and women's pursuit scheduled for Sunday on the FIS Cross Country World Cup.

Glueck Leads U.S. in France
Norway's Magnus Moan took in his fifth win of the season, coming within 52 points of the overall lead during a FIS Nordic Combined World Cup Saturday. The US's Alex Glueck finished 32nd, a career best.

Potter Smokes Potto...
Super Nordic racer Jeff Potter decimated the field to win the 4th annual Potto Raid ski race in 3' 08". Asked how he felt at the finish Jeff replied "drooling and cross eyed".
