MTU men and MNU women win CCSA championships

The Michigan Tech men and Northern Michigan women were the champions for the weekend. Alaska’s Aurelia Korthauer won Sunday's 15K freestyle, while Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Santiago Ocariz took the men's 20K freestyle.

Studebaker top US Biathlete in Women's sprint

Sara Studebaker (Boise, Idaho) posted a final time of 22:05.3 to place 45th in the women’s 7.5km sprint event in biathlon competition at Whistler Olympic Park Saturday afternoon.

Compton leads USA in XC Opener

Dario Cologna won gold for Switzerland as the Olympic men's cross country schedule opened with the men's 15K free event on Monday at Whistler Olympic Park. James Southam (Anchorage) was the top finisher for the U.S. in 48th.

Spillane silvers in Nordic Combined in Olympics

UPDATED: The wait is over: Johnny Spillane (Steamboat Springs, CO) sprinted to silver in a tight finish Sunday and gave the U.S. its first Olympic medal in nordic combined since competition began in 1924.
