UPDATED. The largest snow fall of the season, the coldest night of the season, not enough ice on the lake start/finish area, frozen gas lines on one of the groomers on race day, but the end result was spectacular!

Led by Mitchell Delong's win in the Classic, Pursuit and Sprint, with strong supporting finishes by Anabel Needham, Kora Johnson, Matthew Chard, Nikolai Huotari, Joseph Wood and others, the Ski Tigers racked up 566.5 points for the victory.

Traverse City Central's Mary Lyon and Mitchell Delong of the Copper Country Ski Tigers made it a perfect weekend by winning the Michigan HS XC Ski Championship sprint in addition for taking the Pursuit Championships.

Sam Holmes took his second victory this weekend, taking yesterday's Forbush Freestyle and winning be a three minute margin in today's Hanson Hills Classic 12k under warm and sunny conditions.

It was record-high temperatures for the 2017 Forbush Freestyle. It was bright and sunny and 40F degrees at the start. Grooming was great with no dirty spots.

Full results for the 48k, 28k, 11k, and 6k distances at the 2017 North American Vasa. Besides Woodbeck and Frye Colie winning at 48k, Kevin Tarras and Rebecca Davis topped the 28k standings, and Maize 'n Blue took the 11K.

Mariah Frye Colie has won her second major event in two weeks by winning the 48k North American Vasa. Frye Colie won last week's White Pine Stampede.
