It's only four weeks until the first Michigan Cup race of the season - how are you feeling about your training? Test it out at the NordicSkiRacer 10km Rollerski Time Trial at Kensington Metropark. The race starts at 9:00am SHARP from the EAST BOAT LAUNCH PARKING LOT and heads counterclockwise around the bike path to the WEST Boat Launch Parking. This route avoids all the wooden bridges and the one steep downhill.

There are two parking areas, and your choice will depend on whether you want to do a 2.5 mile warm-up ski to the start line or a 2.5 mile warm-down to your car after you finish the time trial:
- East Boat Launch Parking Lot off the I-96 Kent Lake Road exit (Exit 153) - the start line. Park in the lower lot - there will be fewer cars parked there so it's better for social distancing. Warm up, ski the time trial, then warm down on the 2.5 miles remaining trail around the lake back to the start and your car. If you're running late, you definitely want to park here! Please arrive no later than 8:30am to so you can warm up for the time trial.
- West Boat Launch Parking Lot off the I-96 Kensington Road exit (Exit 151) - the finish line. You will need to ski 2.5 miles counterclockwise and across to wooden bridges to get to the start. But your car and fresh clothes will be available to you at the finish line! Arrive no later than 8:20am to get on your rollerskis and do an easy ski to the start line.
This will be self-timed. Interval start. Slower skiers should go first so we all end not to far apart from each other. Everyone has different speed rollerskis, so this is really a test around how you feel.
Feel free to wear a face mask while warming up, racing, and or cooling down.
There is a $10 fee to enter the park unless you already have a Metroparks annual pass.
Again, we start racing at 9:00am SHARP from the East Boat Launch Parking Lot.
