My dad Phil (regular Michigan Cup racer) is very ill with cancer, and we had to cancel the cabin reservations we had for Birkie weekend. We're looking for someone to rent the place, therefore we could re-coup our deposit, etc. Also I figure it would be good to get the word out to his skiing-friends about his illness. Briefly - Nice 4 bedroom lake home ~7mi from Hayward (on Clear Lake). I think it's called "Clear Lake Point" contact : Kari Maclellan (kmaclellan@ccsdirect.net, RECREATIONAL RENTAL PROPERTIES). We have asked them to put it back up for rent. Currently a 4 night minimum. My family and I are still planning to go up for the race on Friday night and cram into a friend's house, so if anyone wants to use it for Wed and Thurs / Saturday too, we may we wlling to split the cost.
