Michigan Cup X-C Race
Saturday, February 16, 2002
Presented by Crystal Mountain and
the Grand Rapids Nordic Ski Team.
11 Km Classical & 11 Km Freestyle
(Male & Female)
6Km Classical & 6 Km Freestyle
(Juniors)
Race Time: Mass start for male & female division at 10am. Juniors begin at 10:05am. First lap: classical, second lap: freestyle. This is a Canadian-style pursuit race. You must change equipment after first lap at "transition" area.
Classes: Both men's and women's classes are offered for a variety of age groups. (Age groups: 13-19 (Junior), 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)
Registration: This is a Michigan Cup Points race. Registration will close at 9:15am on race day. Please register early to avoid pre-race congestion.
Fee: $20 if received by 2/15/02; $25 on race day
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each pursuit age group. Plus, we will have raffle prizes.

Crystal Relays
Michigan Cup's only relay race

Presented by Crystal Mountain Resort and
the Traverse Nordic Ski Club
Race Time: Mass start at 10am for male, female and coed divisions. Race is in the following order: classical leg, freestyle, freestyle. Each leg of the race is equal. Adult's race: 5km to 8km.
Classes: Male, female and coed classes are offered for a variety of age groups. Each teams age class will be determined by the total of all three team members ages.

Registration & Guidelines
Teams must ski with 3 different skiers.
Relay rules will be discussed at race start.
All points earned will go towards Michigan Cup team points only.
All relay team members must enter together.
Registration will close at 8:45am on race day.
Please register early to avoid pre-race congestion.
**Individual registrations available, we will try to help you create a team out of individual skiers.
Fee: Your entry fee entitles you to participate in the race, luncheon and raffle prizes afterwards.
