My research has concluded that ABR in Ironwood, Michigan is the place to go if you are part of the crowd that can and will drop everything and do anything to get good skiing now! It sounds like 40K of skiing will be open for the weekend.

Our trail system has been completely re-designed for the 2008-09 season. We now have trail options that total 88 km. All of the new loops have been named after Winter Olympic sites starting in 1994 in Lillehammer up to and including Sochi, Russia in 2014.

The chill in the air at the beginning of fall reminds us that our winter ski season will soon be on us. The Board, Officers and Committees of the Washtenaw Ski Touring Club have been busy developing a WSTC ski calendar and meeting schedule.
FOBBR came about last fall when funding for the cross-country ski trails was in jeopardy. This meeting will share what has been done to prevent a recurrence, where we stand, and what this year looks like
If there is a true opening day for the Nordic season, it is the first Monday in October. It is on that day every year that over a thousand Nordic athletes, coaches and trainers descend on Ramsau, Austria to begin their training on the Dachstein Glacier.
