NTN to remove XC ski trail lights

The Noquemanon Trail Network (NTN) has been unable to raise money to continue lighting a cross country ski trail at the Forestville trailhead in Marquette, Michigan.

I-96 repairs to impact Kensington - Island Lake connector path

The paved trail connecting Island Lake Recreation Area to Kensington Metropark will close intermittently from Aug. 1 through November. The closure is the result of I-96 bridge repairs over the Huron River in Oakland County.

The Pere Marquette Rail-Trail will partially close starting Monday, May 16, for a re-surfacing project two weeks earlier than previously announced, which will allow the trail to reopen in early July, rather than the beginning of August.

The Department of Natural Resources announced that the portion of the Pere Marquette State Rail-Trail from Evart to east of Partridge Avenue in Clare County will be temporarily closed for the months of June and July.
