USST XC speed workout

It is day three of the first on-snow camp of the year (June 2010). This camp was a joint USST - Candian National Team effort which is strengthing the calibar of every session. This session is a speed workout. Andy Newell (who finished fourth in the final sprint World Cup this season) decscribes the session first:

It's a speed workout that consists of:

  • 6 doublepole drops, working on relaxed speed
  • A 10 minute break
  • 6 uphill strides, fast but not forced
  • A 10 minute break
  • 5-6 starts

Comment: Notice the 10 minute breaks - complete recovery for speed sessions!
