The highly acclaimed CXC Academy now provides day to day training plans and technique progressions for high school and masters skiers at all levels, with easy to follow on-line coaching.
CXC is pleased to announce training plans and technique progressions directed toward high school coaches and athletes, and master skiers through CXC Academy.
Now high school coaches and their team members can find guidelines and templates for overall planning of the winter season and for day to day high school team training plans. This plan will guide subscribers through intensity, strength and distance training to prepare for peaking at the conference and state meets, managing high school and CXC/USSA Junior Olympic Qualifier racing schedules, and preparing for Junior Olympics.
“CXCAcademy.com is one of the best things to happen to XC skiing in the United States. While it is a huge project for CXC to run, anyone who participates is truly rewarded with excellent training programs and technique examples, videos, and downloadable training documents”, commented a long time master skier and Wisconsin high school coach.
Master skiers love to participate in other outdoor cross training activities during the spring, summer, and fall. Now they have an opportunity to receive day to day late fall and winter training program guidelines specific to preparing for marathon events such as Seeley Hills Classic, Noquamenon, NA Vasa, City of Lakes, Mora Vasaloppet, Great Bear Chase and the Birkie!
“I just subscribed for a year of CXC Academy. By using information from CXC Academy I feel confident about my training. Now have the tools I need to devise a sensible and effective training plan for myself”, commented a master skier from Michigan
CXC Academy is an interactive on line based educational portal for cross country skiing. Every month, hours of high quality educational and inspirational videos are viewed by CXC Academy members. CXC Academy members include MN, MI and WI high school coaches, out state juniors, and beginning to advanced level master skiers from the US, Canada and Europe.
“The goal of CXC Academy is to provide an educational tool which is very inexpensive ($9.95 a month) and can be viewed anywhere there is internet access. It is an outlet for CXC to distribute the latest information gathered from experience and science to the greater cross country ski community in a simple form. It is like ESPN for cross country skiing”, commented Yuriy Gusev, CXC Executive and Athletic Director.
