Fast and Frosty!

Here are the three race courses...

The Frosty 5k Freestyle Course

The 5km course (3.1 miles) starts near the Ski Center and runs clockwise around the North Loop (Loop 1) before finishing back at the Ski Center.

The North Loop is relatively open and flat. There are a few gentle hills and turns to keep it interesting. The course will have both a skating lane and classic tracks.

The Frosty 15k Freestyle Course

The 15km course - that's about 9 miles - starts near the Ski Center and runs clockwise around around three unique loops, all starting and ending at the Ski Center.

The race first heads around the North Loop (Loop 1), a relatively open and flat trail. There are a few gentle hills and turns to keep it interesting.

When you get back to the Ski Center, you head south on the South Loop (Loop 2). This loop adds a few challenging hills into the mix.

As you arrive once again at the Ski Center, you head back out onto the West Loop (Loop3). Much of this section of course is in the woods, with some steep dips and climbs and a couple of fast turns. The West Loop is also a little narrower, making passing a bit harder.

The finish line is waiting for you back at the Ski Center. The course will have both a skating lane and classic tracks.

The Krazy Klassic 12k Course

The 12k Classis course is in the South Trail System (south of Hammel Road). This is an interval start race: racers start two at a time every 15 seconds and do 3 laps clockwise around a single 4k loop.

The route is mostly in the trees, with rolling terrain and one short but steep downhill. The course will be doubletracked; this is a classic-only race; there is no skating lane and no skating is allowed.

Registration will be at the start-finish area. There are heated bathrooms. Awards after the race will be at the Cross Country Ski Center.
