The Frosty Freestyle announced today that the Frosty Freestyle race will be held on a backup race course should Mother Nature fails to deliver enough snow by Saturday, January 15, 2010 to use the original course. Video of alternative course!

Last night's well-attended "Prepare for the Frosty Freestyle - Part 1: Fitness" was the first in a series of three classes designed to help skiers get ready the the Frosty Freestyle 5/15K Cross Country Ski Race.

The Frosty Freestyle will present a series of three FREE classes designed to introduce people to the sport of cross country ski racing. The classes will be held at REI in Ann Arbor every Tuesday evening for three weeks, starting Nov 30.

$2,590 in proceeds from the Frosty Freestyle XC Ski Race were donated to Huron Meadows on Saturday, along with another $500 from the Washtenaw Ski Touring Club, part of the Groomer Appreciation Day festivities.

The cold ground has kept the Frosty race course in great shape. Will we have to shovel snow on the course in a few places (especially around the start area)? Yes. But we're good to go for Saturday's REI Frosty Freestyle.
