UPDATE: Lakes of the North Winterstart 10K Freestyle

UPDATE 12/20: The race is a go.  As of 1:00pm today they have 6 inches of nice fluffy snow (unlike the wet slop we have here in TC).  Will advise on race or rock skis Friday am.

Vasa Ski Club will host a short simple race on Saturday December 22nd at Lakes of the North.  Curt Peterson is point person on that and is moving forward with plans together with the golf course and restaurant.

It will be low key (no prizes, low entry fee, no timing- but placings).

Lakes of the north is on the south side of C-38 between Waters and Mancelona:

• When coming from the east, Lakes of the North is 8 miles west of US 27, off Mancelona Road (C-38) (Exit off I-75 at the Waters Exit, head west to US 27. Turn north for a couple miles until you see a blinker light. Turn left on Mancelona Road / C-38)
  
• When coming from the west, Lakes of the North is 8 miles east of US 131, off Mancelona Road (C-38).
