From Maureen Perkins: This is sauce recipe made by the parents for the Vasa pasta feed. We get have about 25 batches made for the dinner. Thanks. Maureen Perkins

VASA Pasta Sauce Recipe:

Cook and stir the following until tender:

1/4 cup olive oil
4 medium onions chopped
10 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 green pepper diced

Add:
2 - 15 ounce cans tomato sauce
4 - 15 ounce cans tomatoes
1 - 16 ounce can tomato paste
4 - teaspoons dried parsley or 1/4 cup fresh diced parsley
3 - Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 - teaspoons salt
1 - Tablespoon dried oregano
1 1/2 - Tablespoons dried basil

Stir and bring to a boil. Lower to simmer and cook for an hour.
