Zero Wind Chill Doesn't Stop
Tuesday Night Sprints

Fifty cross country skiers braved the zero wind chill to
participate in Tuesday's Sprints at Hickory Hills, with TC Central's high school team again in
the lead, with two of the top three positions for both boys and girls at the 4 km race. Cameron
Ross took first and Jon Ault second for Central in 11:18 and 11:40, edging out Boyne City's Brad
Winkler in 11:49. Cassidy Edwards, Glen Lake, won the girls race in 11:36, followed by Central's
twin sisters, Anna and Julia Coulter, in 11:49 and 12:07. Adult men also raced the 4 km course,
with Steve Kuhl, TC, beating Milan Baic, Williamsburg, by only 8 seconds, 10:11 to
10:19. Bill Brundage, TC, came in third in 11:18.
The top juniors in the 2 km race were Kirsten Britten first in
3:30, followed by Elizabeth Prentice in 3:49, both from St. Francis. AJ Ambrosius from St.
Francis won the boys' race in 3:49.
