Even though lack of snow and high temperatures hampered the first two races, some 54 skiers skied in three of the four races of the Great Lakes Marathon Series.

Congratulations to the Straits Striders, the 2006 Michigan Cup Cross Country Ski Racing Champions! The Striders fought off strong efforts by both the Cross Country Ski Headquarters and Team NordicSkiRacer.com to finish the season in first.
